  • Review the Accessibility Compliance Review (ACR) report to prioritize violations and determine the most effective remediation approach.
  • Update existing React components to leverage newly developed internal components with built-in accessibility support.
  • Apply accessibility improvements directly to the original components.
  • Combine both approaches where appropriate, implementing additional code changes to ensure long-term technical soundness.
  • Ensure updates follow accessibility best practices, including proper ARIA usage, semantic HTML, focus management, keyboard navigation, and screen reader compatibility.
  • Rigorously test all changes to confirm violations have been resolved without disrupting existing functionality.
  • Partner with QA and accessibility specialists to validate compliance with WCAG standards.
  • Deploy updates to staging and production environments following established CI/CD practices.
  • Monitor performance and functionality post-deployment, ensuring no regressions occur.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to promptly resolve any issues identified in live environments.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in web development with strong expertise in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Proven track record of working in large, complex, collaborative codebases.
  • Ability to independently manage the full development cycle: understanding requirements, designing solutions, implementing fixes, and executing thorough testing.
  • Practical experience in web accessibility remediation.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility best practices and assistive technologies, including: (Screen reader compatibility (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) Keyboard navigation and focus management ARIA roles, states, and properties WCAG 2.1 AA compliance guidelines)
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing tools and automated compliance checkers.
