Responsibilities

Analyze IT specifications to assess security risks
Design and implement safety measures and data recovery plans
Install, configure, and upgrade security software (e.g. antivirus programs)
Secure networks through firewalls, password protection, and other systems

qualifications

Programming skills (e.g. knowledge of C++, PHP languages) are preferred
Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g. NIST Cybersecurity framework) and risk management methodologies
Knowledge of patch management, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (e.g. TippingPoint)
Familiarity with public key infrastructure (PKI) and cryptographic protocols (e.g. SSL/ TLS)
An analytical mind with excellent problem-solving ability
Outstanding communication and organization skills

3+ years of experience in a security analyst or similar position conducting vendor security assessments.
An understanding of common security risks that a third-party vendor, especially software, poses to a company
Solid understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks
Familiarity with SSO/SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect protocols
Strong knowledge of third-party product deployments and data exchange methods
Ability to assess various deployment models (e.g., vendor-managed cloud, on-premise solutions, plug-ins, add-ons) and associated integration methods (e.g., APIs, service accounts)
Experience identifying the use of Generative AI within third-party products and assessing associated risks
Familiarity with SOC2, IS27001, NIST, PCI, etc.
Strong knowledge of risk countermeasures and compensating controls
Experience synthesizing information from disparate sources and driving any questions through resolution
