Thank you for following along with our 6-part HR IN A BOX series, and welcome to the final toolkit review. Now that we’ve covered Part 1 (Pre-Employment + Compliance Toolkit), Part 2 (Recruiting Toolkit), Part 3 (Onboarding Toolkit), Part 4 (Employee Development Toolkit), and Part 5 (Culture Toolkit) of HR in a Box, we conclude with Part 6, the Offboarding Toolkit!

Part 6 of HR IN A BOX contains the Offboarding Toolkit.

Offboarding procedures are just as important as onboarding procedures and should be just as thought out. The offboarding process provides an incredible opportunity to capture feedback from employees regarding their overall experience working with you, which will help you further improve your internal culture and make more informed decisions in the long term.

The Offboarding Toolkit contains the following:

  • Employee Offboarding Checklist: Tie up all loose ends before officially saying goodbye to an employee. Just like onboarding, the sheer number of duties involved with offboarding provides a large margin for error. However, depending on your state’s regulations, forgetting to take care of your offboarding tasks can put you in legal jeopardy. Our employee offboarding checklist will provide you with a safety net to confirm you’ve tied up all loose ends.
  • Exit Interview Guide: There are numerous reasons why employees leave companies, but regardless of the reason, conducting an open and honest exit interview can help make sure that things end on a positive note. This is a time where HR teams can really lean into the employee experience and get an idea of how employees are feeling on a day-to-day basis. Even if nothing is ever done with this information, it’s incredibly important to be tapped into. Our exit interview guide will help guide you to leave no stone unturned.

In this final installment of our “Ask The Expert” video series, Natalie Stones (VP of Business Development) will be joined by Mary Henderson (Director of People Operations) and Michelle Bettancourt (People Operations Generalist) to review the Offboarding Toolkit in detail.
