Job Description Example
Premier is looking for experienced HR Directors to help design, plan and implement HR programs & policies for staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training to scale our client’s rapidly growing companies. We are looking for an innovative individual who can be a driving force in fostering workplace culture. The ideal candidate has a wide degree of independence, creativity, and latitude.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle workflow related to recruiting, hiring, onboarding and on-going employee engagement
- Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure job descriptions reflect the scope of the opportunity and requirements
- Work with senior management and department heads to determine the need for additional headcount and assists in the planning and budgeting of these needs. Serve as the primary point of contact for open job postings and tracking global candidate flow
- Manage external recruiters, ensuring coverage and guidance for open positions and negotiating new hires
- Hire and manage internal recruiters
- Ensure that the candidate screening and interviewing process is well-orchestrated, designed to identify optimal talent, and leaves a positive experience with candidates
- Work with hiring managers, IT, and Benefits to ensure a welcoming and seamless onboarding experience
- Work with department leads to plan company events and support team building
- Work closely with managers and finance to ensure employee actions and compensation changes are reflected in an accurate and timely manner
- Refine existing processes to ensure timely and complete HR document retention and ensure compliance with employment requirements
- Work at a strategic level, as well as execute basic administrative HR functions
- Work with outside service to administer company benefits
- Assess the performance of outside providers, oversee contract negotiation and manage relationships
- Oversee open enrollment of benefits and contract renewals with service providers
- Review total compensation & rewards to ensure the company is competitive
- Communicate and educate employees on benefit programs and act as an internal resource for all employee compensation and benefits questions
- Drive HR strategy including development of performance appraisal processes, compensation analysis and employment branding & engagement
Qualifications/Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in HR Management or similar, MBA, PHR/SPHR is ideal
- 15+ years of experience in HR with a minimum of 5 years managing staff
- Demonstrable hands-on experience in establishing HR operations and functions, managing start-up compensation plans, and building and growing teams
- A solid understanding of benefits, employment law, and performance management
- Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and executives
- Must have start-up experience (ideally scaling HR for a rapidly-growing technology platform)
- Self-starter who is flexible and has a get things done attitude
- Ability to focus on decisions and solutions
- Ability to apply common sense and integrity to issues Experience with ATS, HRIS and payroll software
