Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the infrastructure that powers a platform
  • Serve as a key voice in architectural/platform discussions
  • Develop infrastructure tooling
  • Develop custom functionality against Kubernetes
  • Implement security policy and monitor for threats

qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Experience deploying and maintaining Kubernetes clusters at scale
  • Familiarity with developing Kubernetes operators, controllers, and custom CRDs
  • Programming skills
  • Extensive knowledge of at least one major cloud provider
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and other infrastructure automation
  • Deep knowledge of Linux, container environments, and bash
  • Strong experience with modern infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes cluster orchestration tools like kops or kubeadm
  • Experience deploying, operating, and using major production-level databases
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or TimescaleDB
  • Experience with scripting - preferably Bash

  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform preferred).
  • Experience in Ansible Automation Platform or other configuration management tooling.
  • Solid understanding of security best practices, including least privilege access, encryption, system hardening, vulnerability management and key management.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA) as they apply to OCI.
  • Experience supporting production-grade workloads in a cloud environment.
  • Scripting knowledge (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and monitoring.
