Responsibilities

  • Review data on reports and detect possible errors
  • Research new tax trends and regulations
  • Advise individuals and companies on tax strategies
  • Ensure compliance with government tax rules

qualifications

  • Experience as a Tax Preparer or a similar role
  • Good knowledge of tax preparation software
  • Advanced MS Office skills (particularly in using Excel)
  • Comprehensive understanding of government tax laws
  • Excellent computational ability
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Have the ability to work some weeknights and weekends
  • Experience preparing tax returns for low-and middle-income families, including but not limited to experience at VITA or TCE sites
  • Candidacy will be prioritized if you have familiarity with relevant tax policy for the following states: Arizona, North Carolina, Idaho, Maryland, or New Jersey
  • Experience with using Intercomor other similarcustomer relationship management (CRM)
  • Have the ablity to provide support via email, live chat, and SMS
  • Bonus if Fluent Spanish written/comprehension/speaking skills
